FLOW MONITORING IN A STREAM LOCATED IN CALBUCO, LOS LAGOS REGION, 2021 – 2024

Objective: To conduct monthly stream monitoring focused on flow rate and key water quality indicators.

Activities: Perform wading streamflow measurements at a designated point in the channel and monitor water quality using a multiparameter sonde.

REGULARIZATION OF SILAGE STORAGE SYSTEM IN PAILLACO, LOS RÍOS REGION, 2022

Objective: To reconstruct, using reverse engineering, a Silage Storage System project for fish farming that complies with client requirements and current regulations. The project will be submitted to the Regional Health Authority for approval.

Activities: Field data collection, including basic topobathymetric surveys and survey of existing structures.

Desktop studies: Preparation of a technical report including detailed project description, process description, mass balance, engineering drafts, and submission of the project to the Regional Health Authority.

Objective: To design river defense works (protective riprap) that comply with client requirements and current regulations. The projects will be submitted to the DGA for approval.

Activities: Field data collection, including topobathymetric surveys and the generation of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) using drones to determine the watershed area. Hydrological analysis based on DGA statistical data and verified through direct streamflow measurements.

Desktop studies: Hydraulic modeling, fluvial mechanics, hydraulic design, structural verification, engineering drafts, and project submission to the DGA.

REGULARIZATION OF INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER DISCHARGE (CHANNEL MODIFICATION) IN PUERTO MONTT, LOS LAGOS REGION, 2024

Objective: To reconstruct, using reverse engineering, a discharge structure over a watercourse that meets client requirements and current regulations. The project will be submitted to the DGA and documentation will be prepared to obtain permits PAS 155 and 156 before Regional Health Authority.

Activities: Field data collection, including topobathymetric surveys and the generation of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) using drones to determine the watershed area. Hydrological analysis based on DGA statistical data and verified through direct streamflow measurements.

TOPOBATHYMETRIC SURVEYS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES IN REGIONS OF ARAUCANÍA, LOS RÍOS AND LOS LAGOS, 2022–2024

Objective: To carry out topobathymetric surveys of the areas under study. The surveyed river stretches extend 100 meters upstream and 100 meters downstream from the hydraulic structures being assessed. The surveys include relevant elements, and all structures that result in hydraulic flow control, such as public and private infrastructure, outfalls, canal intakes, existing river defenses (e.g., gabions, riprap), utility poles, crossings, bridges, distribution gates, fences, etc.

Activities: Topobathymetric data was collected using a GNSS RTK GPS system, consisting of a fixed base station and a rover receiver installed on a survey boat equipped with an echo sounder. For the adjacent terrain, a GNSS RTK GPS is used in coordination with an RTK drone and a LiDAR camera to acquire topographic data.

FLOW MONITORING IN A STREAM IN PUERTO MONTT, LOS LAGOS REGION, 2022–2023

Objective: To conduct stream monitoring focused on flow rate and key water quality indicators.

Activities: A pressure sensor was installed in the stream, along with a second sensor nearby to correct for barometric pressure variations. Streamflow measurements (wading gauging) were carried out to develop the discharge curve. Additionally, water quality was monitored using a multiparameter sonde.

INSTALLATION OF STAFF GAUGES AND PRESSURE SENSORS TO DEVELOP DISCHARGE CURVE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL FLOW COMPLIANCE IN MAULE REGION, ARAUCANÍA REGION AND LOS LAGOS REGION, 2020-2024

Objective: To install staff gauges and pressure sensors linked to a discharge curve to monitor ecological flow.

Activities:  Installation of staff gauges or pressure sensors in the watercourse to monitor compliance with ecological flow requirements. A discharge curve is then developed based on flow measurements (stream gauging) or statistical data from a nearby streamflow gauging station.

DESIGN OF NEW WATER INTAKES FOR FISH FARMING IN PUYEHUE, LOS LAGOS REGION, 2024

Objective: To update the design of water intake structures in compliance with client requirements and current regulations. The project will also be submitted for approval to the DGA.

Activities: Field data collection, including topobathymetric surveys and the generation of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) using drones, in order to determine the watershed area. Hydrological analysis based on DGA statistical data and verified through direct streamflow measurements.
